Default New Spells = Rebirth of Walking Bomb!!!

Here's a prototype of Earth Walking Bomb good for both pvp and pve to some extent:

Ele/Me

12 + 4 Earth
12 + 1 Energy
3 Inspiration

Unsteady Ground
Aftershock
Crystal Wave
Arcane Echo
Shockwave
Silver Armor
Mantra Of Resolve
Earth Attunement

Get into the action casting Unsteady Ground and Silver Armor (already having attunement and resolve on), then pound your foes with crystal wave and shockwave and echoed shockwave, assuming that when they fall down thanks to unsteady ground you hit them with aftershock. It's quite manawise, no expensive spells like earthquake or dragon stomp, due to the single attunement!

Anyone else get the feeling that ANET kinda wanted to smack eles on the head and say "Hey look at the earth line" It's always thought that it's been powerful but now it's even more useful then ever! Especially with shadow stepping. Shockwave itself is a great spell with a huge radius. Throw in there silver armor and your good to go for farming anything walking =).

no, Anet is handing us candy. candy they will snatch away from us through nerf after nerf after nerf as they, and all the necromancers out there, laugh at us and how we wish we had love. ;_;

If this is good, it will be nerfed VERY soon. I guarentee it. (no money back guarentee though)

the only thing they could possibly nerf there is tenais crystal...they are doubled up right now, not sure if they are gonna let us keep 2 crystal waves. I sure hope they do though. Unsteady groud isn't a knockdown skill to use with aftershock cause it only knocks down foes moving faster then normal according to guildwiki's skill description.

Uh dude, why forcing eles to go in certain direction? let them do what they feel like any other profession out there does.

Where did you read that? He said Anet is buffing Earth because too many of us are avoiding it for Air, Water and Fire. Earth was always the support class; now we're getting some damage to go along with it.

I already have, My test ele/assasin build was very similar to the one mentioned in this post. sure, i like it, but my taste kinda gets interupted. i mean, i always wanted to be at range, thats why i chose an ele at first place.

I am kind of confused, who is avouding earth line for water? maybe air, but definetly water is the least appriciated class out there. Most ele tanks are earth tanks as you said too.
What i meant to say was, now, that eles are getting buffed up in earth line *alone* and fire, even after been damaged very badly since AoE affects have been altered, it has been left alone since then. Air still does what it meant to do. Water, still hinders, but not AoE affects it as well. just like any other fire or earth attribute. By the way, earth was once used as ob spiking in pvp and even before faction, damage was included, they just buffed the line more to make it better. Happy for earth, but the class affected the most still needs to be worked on, Hope that happens soon.

Well, you said "forcing" and that set off an alarm bell. Earth has always 9as long as i've been playing at least) had a damage nerf to it making it--from this chair--less than accpetable as the primary weapon of choice on my first run through with an ele. With Blinding Flash for Air and Fire's "protective" AoEs (Flame Burst) making them a less appealing target for CQC or harder to hit, Earth kinda gets the shaft by comparison (no pun intended).

Fires getting some good skills too with Factions. But fire eles don't really need a damage buff. Well, beyond the whole nuke issue but thats a different thread.

But back to my original point. When you said forcing the first thing that popped into my head was 'Why do I have to be a fire or Air ele to spike?'

For me, a warder, increased earth damage is liberating and not constraining. I don't have to swap atty points to a different element just to be an effective fighter.

PS: thats not counting Crystal Wave or Obsidian Flame.

primary weapon of choice for earth? as long as most of the damage seen will be less compared to the most basic line offered by ANET to any new ele being created, this will happen.

Secondaly, the long range good damage spells, huge exhaustion as always. and since AOE affect, do expect foes to run out.
Last but not least for earth line, usualy used for armour buffs by most eles i have seen arround, beside ob spike with energy glyph, and even then, it is not effective, as you cant always have glyph being casted before ob spike. For armour buffs, nothing is as good as earth, so here goes the justification for earth line being used for defenses, yet doing decent damage along with the defences.
It is like me wishing for defensive spells being given for fire line to support it, argh.

Did i ever mention, i hate to be close to a warrior while casting crystal wave? i tend to go range, usualy mage side. PBAoE in my opinion are defensive spells usualy.

No one Has to be any of Fire or Air spike to deal damage, but leading players through buffed skill attribute line tends to play a role of transition for a player
from one attribute to another.

There is another thread, which talks about blinding flash, and its defensive usage, and costs, not sure if i have seen you speaking over there, but check it out. As for flame burst? comeon, how many eles have u seen with flame burst out there any way ?

Uh, no, faction has not come with good fire skills, a thread is posted on faction forum side, have a look at spells. Infact, if you do find it hard to find those threads, just check my nickname, and posts i have replied, it may appear in the list.
But yeh, Agreed with you, fire does not need damage buffs, rather worth while skills, or fixing of current skills atleast. I have already made suggestions in other thread for covering the topic of how to fix fire line. Checked all fire skills coming in faction, hate to say, i am stcking to what i got.

By the way, eles are having issues with effective AOE damage at this point, and i do not see how eles are being supported by providing more spells in a line which has not entirely been interupted. Technically, fire is the most affected line at this very point, and that line needed to be fixed. not earth line , it has enough defenses in faction too.

If you find my english not easy to understand, i will get someone to redo this post, let me know.

In response to ur build and anet nerfing it,
they wont i tried the build long before u posted it and as it turns out it kills really really quick.
fortanetly its like a once every minute sort of combo so if u dont kill em ur a sitting duck and thats y anet wont care how many ppl use this cause ppl can also run away

u can also take out afterschock and put in churning earth to keep them still while u unload

ps: no matter what this build aint that good in pvp i tried everyone simply ran away and then i was helpless
